Question Computer not finishing loading/posting after replacing cpu heatsink/fan

I had the stock heatsink/fan for my cpu break. One of the pastic connectors that hold it to the motherboard broke and it would no longer hold a proper connection to the cpu, so it was getting to hot. Before taking it out, I tested holding the heatsink against the cpu while watching the temperature in bios settings and the temperature held within acceptable levels and the computer booted and worked fine.

I bought a new heatsink/fan, however this was one required me to take out the whole motherboard so I could set put the connector on the back of the motherboard. After getting it setup and replugging everything in, I can't get the computer to boot properly.

It gets stuck at this screen, with the loading indicator being at the dragons tail, which the picture I took only caught one dot of.

The motherboard is a z97:

I am able to get into bios before getting to that loading screen, the cpu temperature is now stable at 30c. The cpu fan is working. The led lights at the bottom of the motherboard show A0, which I think means it thinks everything went fine. All these parts worked fine before I took everything apart, which leads me to believe I missed plugging something in right? The two power connectors are plugged into the mobo. The cpu fan is in. The videocard power connectors are plugged in. I haven't had to mess with the insides of this in a while and am probably not as knoweldable as I should be.

Anyone provide me any guidance?

Nice cable management, and dusty..... hard to tell if everything is plugged in right. Did you have to remove the Mobo completly from the case? Have you reseated the RAM. Did you remove the GPU and disconnect satas and of course power cables during the operation.

Full system specs and age +make of PSU are needed, if it is an Inland well thats gotta go.... or get a fire extinguisher for xmas....

My gut feeling is the new heatsink needs more power than the old one and that awful (not meaning to offend) PSU is not able to get the system up anymore...
Cheers
