I've recently invested in some new headphones that happen to have a MIC built in them. I've manage to test them on my PS4 and Laptop, the results were perfect. The microphone was working and all is good! Now i come to my PC, I have a headset splitter to i can plug in the Audio and Microphone in my PC but it's not working. The audio is fine but i'm not able to use my microphone. Windows say's it's plugged in and working correctly but it doesn't pick up any noise. It's about as silent as a grave, and even with the volume of the MIC cranked all the way up. I'd love to know if anyone knows any work a rounds or fixes!

Motherboard: MSI Gaming 5

Go into your sound settings (Control Panel > Sound) and it'll bring up a list of all of the audio device you have plugged in. Right click on your microphone and make sure it's set up as Default Communication Device.

I've sadly already done that. I'm not even sure if this is fixable.
