[SOLVED] Computer not powering up after CPU upgrade

Specs: CX 500w power supply

Gtx 1070

16gb ram

Asus Z170-A motherboard



I upgraded my i5-6600k to an i7-9700k. After I plugged my cords back in and hit the power button nothing came on. No fan spin up, no beeping, nothing. The only lights I see are a light where I plug the Ethernet into and a green light on my motherboard. I used an antistatic wrist band whilst installing the new CPU so I'm really hoping I didn't fry it. Help!

While the pin count may be the same...1151...that motherboard does not support that CPU.
