Computer not showing up on monitor

So around 6 months ago for my birthday I decided to get a new cpu for my computer but my dad got me the wrong one and then alot of things happened and just today I finally installed a cpu and booted up my computer and it does turn on, but no matter what I try I can't get it to show up on the monitor, I tried everything, I used 2 different monitors and 5 different vga and dvi-d cables and still nothing works, is it my computer and if so, what part is it? Also I can hear the fan so it's not that and I also have windows 10
