Hello. I have a QDI Kudoz 7x/400a mobo and the CMOS seems to have some issues. Whenever I change any settings (I want to change boot order) and press F10 to save, the computer resets and after the boot logo only a flashing cursor at the top left corner shows up instead of the normal Detecting DMI or something screen.
Any ideas on what's going on? The battery is at 3V so it isn't a problem. To fix this issue, I have to unplug my computer, remove the battery, wait a few seconds, and then insert it back in. But of course, the changes are lost.

If you're using PATA drives, make sure that one is set to master while the other is set to slave, on your IDE cable. The fact that the problem occurs when you tinker with boot order in BIOS would indicate that there's something that the BIOS doesn't like or that the BIOS is corrupt. Try and see if there's any BIOS updates available for your vintage motherboard.
