hey guys this is a part 2 from my last thread. Basically my computer would not work because I was using an off brand power supply now I have a cx750m corsair and the computer starts up fine the only problems is my monitor is not connecting with my graphics card (I'm using an LG tv) can anyone help?

Solution

That won't do anything if you can't boot up.

Without any knowledge of your BIOS, your next step is to find a local computer store that can update your BIOS or call Gigabyte and talk to them about doing it. There's a reason that the motherboards that came out with Skylake aren't recommended for use with Kaby Lake CPUs unless you have the ability to verify before purchase that the BIOS has been updated.

Another option, if you're still within the return window, is to simply return the motherboard and get 200-series motherboard that should work out of the box. Preferably a Z270 motherboard as it's a bit of a waste to run an...
1 tb brand new,1tb used with windows 10 and 250 GB old and shitty

Geforce gtx 1050 ti

H110M-S2H-GSM gigabyte motherboard

Well my fan to my graphics card is running meaning there has to be some power going to it and I double checked every wire I put in to make sure they were snug other than that I dont know how to determine if its working or not

So i checked my CPU connecter and the connector looked different from the socket in my motherboard . on the power supply cord the symbols go polygon square polygon polygon but on the motherboard they go polygon square square polygon. I dont know if that makes a diffrence or not because it plugs in just fine but maybe it will help

OK, so then you don't know whether it's working. These are important questions because we need to be able to eliminate things that aren't the GPU. What happens when you remove the GPU and use the integrated graphics with your TV?

Also, you shouldn't need to force in a power supply connector.

Then the problem is likely something else if you can't boot without the GPU either. This is why I asked if you had verified that things were working otherwise; in this case they don't appear to be.

Was your motherboard's BIOS updated for Kaby Lake CPUs? An H110 motherboard will not work with this CPU out-of-the-box unless the BIOS has been updated. You likely have a sticker somewhere on the motherboard or box saying what version of BIOS it comes with.
