Okay so when I turned on my computer today nothing comes up on my screen (yes the monitor works as I have tested) I also checked inside my computer and it appears that my systems case fan is no longer spinning.
What are the complete system specs? What exactly happens when you press the power button? Do you hear anything or see any lights? The first place to look would be the PSU, especially if it's a cheap unit.
Well everything turns on I hear the fans on my gpu and my CPU fan going my mouse light works but y keyboards light is not coming on when it should the psu is brand new but I fear that I tried to add 2 more ram sticks to my existing ones and when I tried to startup my computer then the fans would spin for 3 seconds then stop then the system wouldn't boot so would I hae dAmaged the psu or is the motherboard dead since the graphics card an CPU fans are spinning
6GB is a strange amount of RAM. What is the RAM configuration? The new sticks of RAM are likely not compatible with either the existing RAM or motherboard. If you follow the steps in the checklist linked above you should be able to narrow down what's causing the problem, but I would start with the RAM. Remove all but one stick of RAM and try each one by itself to begin your troubleshooting.
I removed the new ram sticks and kept the old ones in that where working before but I still get the same problem everything gets power except the system fan and nothing coming up on my screen
Okay, then it's time to start going through the troubleshooting checklist step by step. It was created for this type of problem and should help you determine what's causing the problem.
