computer not working

so i just bought all my components and put it together...nothing happened when i plugged it in and switched it on. is there anywhere i can take my computer to have it checked out? and maybe fix the problem before i break something

Are both 24 and 8 pin power cables connected to the motherboard? What board using?

so i ended up unplugging everything, and rebuilding. oddly enough it started up. one problem were the case fan connecters to the motherboard. that cable litterly started smoking so i unplugged it and just have the fans running constantly. other than that the computer runs great
