Hey, I have built a pc a year ago, and occasionally a couple mini-freezes occur in quick succession. The screen will freeze for maybe 0.3 seconds every second, for about 10 seconds. The sound will also 'freeze', which I have recorded (http://vocaroo.com/i/s0AGpWYHA0BB). I'm not sure if it happens more under high load since it's hard to notice when you're just idling and have no sound playing, but I did have it happen when nothing was running on the computer. Usually it happens once every few weeks, but when it happens once it will keep happening periodically that day.
My specs are as follows:
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 4x4 GB
CPU: Intel Core i5 3570k / 3.4 GHz
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 Ti
PSU: Corsair Enthusiast Series TX750 V2
I have no clue as to what can cause this, and if it is potentially dangerous. When it happens I can still keep doing what I do, except my screen and audio is stuttering. After ~10 seconds everything is back to normal. I hope you can help me figure out what is causing this.
