Hello, So I took my heatsink fan out to clean and put it back in, computer wasn't starting so reinstalled it facing another way, worked like a dream. Only problem is that the monitor isn't saying there is any connection to it, I have plugged in and out the cables but to no avail. The motherboard I have is a LGA 1150 Socket (idk if it matters) and I have had no previous display problems.
(computer is hooked up to monitor via VGA)
Can anyone help me?

Thanks - Brandon

Hello... 2) un-plug your Power supply from the wall... and Take a closer look at your fan/cooler re-install... see if it's touching/pressing a Part on your MB ?
3) make sure all the MB power connectors are in place
4) Try re-seating your Ram sticks.

It is hooked up to the VGA connector at the back of the PC and made sure it was set to vga but no avail

Thanks a lot mate!, although I didn't necessarily use this method I actually fixed it by plugging the vga straight into my graphics card rather then through the mother board. Is this ok? I am not sure but it is fixed now :) If you could let me know if I can keep it this way without any problems that would be good :). Thanks for your time!
