Computer on floor or desk?

So, ive had this on my mind for a long while. is it better to keep your Computer on your desk or the floor? I am using a tiny desk that my tiny old monitor takes up 45% of the desk.

I think it depends on how much foot traffic goes through the area the computer is sitting on. Lots of foot traffic? Desk. Not so much foot traffic? Floor is fine.

Yeah, that's probably fine. Carpet or hard flooring?
