My computer does not work in normal mode whenever I enable my graphics card (AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series). It just stops at a black screen after the "Starting Windows" screen. The problem suddenly started two days ago with no warning while I was in normal mode. My monitors just switched to a black screen and I couldn't do anything.
I've tried uninstalling the graphics drivers with Display Driver Uninstaller and reinstalling them with AMD Catalyst and even reformatting but the computer still gets stuck. Device Manager also keeps telling me to restart the computer so that the graphics card will work properly but I still get stuck at a black screen. It works fine in safe mode and in normal mode but only with the default VGA adapter and disabling the graphics card. Is it time to get a new graphics card?
Hopefully you guys here can help me find a fix before I send my computer to a repair shop.
