CPU actual temps are really low, but the heat sinks around the CPU gets ridiculously hot (temps gotten from manual feeling them with my hand)
the computer says that the temperatures goes from about 40 degrees to 85 degrees in about two seconds (85 is the point where it turns off).

Im entirely stumped about this, ANY ideas are welcome.

(sorry about my english not my primary langrage)

Solution
Since you say the problem is when "standing up", I assume you mean when the motherboard is vertical. If so, then I would suspect the mounting of your heatsink/fan is not correct. When lying horizontal, gravity is helping the heatsink make contact with the CPU, when vertical it is working against it.
