Computer posts, then reboots and boots normally

On occasion i will turn my computer on, it will show the gigabyte post screen, it will then shut down and then turn back on and boot into windows normally.
other times it will turn on and show nothing and i will have to turn it off and back on again ,where it will just boot normally.

specs:

i5 7600k @ 4.6GHz 1.35v
GTX 1070
12gb Corsair ram 2400mhz
500w EVGA 80+ PSU
Hper 212 evo cooler
Gigabyte GA-Z270M-D3H
1TB Toshiba HDD
1TB WD Blue HDD
240GB Sandisk SSD

That is your problem right there. You can try and run it without the under clock, but that might give you more problems. I would sell the RAM you have and go get a 16gb kit cause it could be causing other problems that may be slowing down your rig.
I see that you have 12gb of ram. Did you mix RAM kits? RAM can be very finicky, even sticks that have the same model. This is why RAM is sold in kits as they are tested with each other to make sure they work. If you have added a different stick of RAM, then I would remove the other stick. This is probably your problem.

If that does not work then I would try clearing the "CMOS" and start over on your overclock. Your overclock on your CPU or RAM may not be stable.
 


Yeah, I originally bought 8GB 2x4 3000mhz DDR4 then i needed more so i got an extra 4GB 1x4 2400mhz DDR4, both corsair sticks but i underclocked the 3000mhz ram so it was all 2400mhz
