Hey guys, this is my second post here
Basically, I unscrewed my desktop computer case to attach a WiFi Go! card, or something. At the time, I completely forgot that I have to remove the motherboard to attach it, but I went ahead anyway. So, I tried to "force" it in (gently add a little pressure) and it didn't go in, although when I took my hand away I noticed some bent pins on the Motherboard where the card should be (see figure 1)
I fastened up my computer, and turned it on deciding to not use WiFi but to carry on with cabled internet. However, my computer power button does nothing. The HDD light doesn't come on, nor the light to show the computer is running.
However, the motherboard light is on (see figure 2), which must mean my power supply is working but only the reserve power is being used, I think?
Anyway, this is where my power button is (see figure 3, from left to right reset button || power button || power light || HDD light (please note: power and HDD light might be switched, but nevertheless that's what they all are)). I spoke to my father, since he has and still is working with computers, but not hardware side.
We browsed the web, but I found nothing. I will try and clean out my computer ASAP (it's filty inside, I have never cleaned it (had it for 1 1/2 years)), but he said there is a chance it's either the power supply or the case.
Anyway, I hope anyone can help me otherwise I will have to take it to a shop, and in the UK they're surprisingly hard to find
Have a nice day,
Dan
