Computer power issue

My computer was working fine the night before but when I went to power it on the following day I believe I heart a slight crack sound as I pushed by power button. The computer fails to power now. There's no smell in the case especially from the power supply and all cables are plugged in properly.

I've tried using my reset button as power, and checked the motherboard for obvious issues. My only guess the fuse in the power cable has blown, would this be a plausible reason for my problem?

My power supply is bronze certified and is not yet 1 year old.

Solution
The "crack" sound is definitely a clue to a hardware failure. I always LISTEN to a computer when it boots whether it is mine or someone elses. It always provides clues.
You should list ALL your hardware.
If it was a fuse that popped, it wouldn't produce a smell..it is more likely an electrical component(s).
If the smell seems to be from the PSU, it likely is the PSU. Be nice to know what it is, and do you have a GOOD spare to try in its place?

Also, although this list is getting old, it is helpful.
Is your PSU in this list?
