the xeon processor is basically a non-overclocking version of the i7-4690k, helping to bring down the price.
the xeon processor does not have onboard video like the i7-4690k, also helping to bring down the price.

there isnt a cpu/gpu out there yet worth the upgrade from what i made you (based on your budget). that should last you at least 3 or more years.

-the xeon is still a very strong, top of the line processor.
-the r9 390 will last a long while with its 8gb vram. the newest games only take 5gb vram max on 1080p.

those are both high quality parts.

changed the ram to 8gb and removed the cd/dvd drive. the msi r9 390 is a few $ cheaper. keep in mind 16gb is optimal for editing, but you can buy more or change it out easily later. you can always add the dvd drive later too. that is the least important part. everything can be downloaded these days. made a few other tweaks.

even though this is in your price range and will work flawlessly, i highly recommend saving the extra 70 for the previous xeon build i linked if you want the most out of your money.
