The other night I was playing a video game and my game didn't freeze, but a grey screen with maybe 3 white tears on the left side popped up for about 5 seconds, went away(game was playable) then came back about 5 seconds later. This time the screen was frozen with this Grey screen, next day I turn on my PC and I can't get it onto windows. Either the computer turns on all fine and dandy, but would either give me a windows recovery screen or a blank screen. The blank screen would go away around 10 seconds, about a second or so later , the blank screen would come back and stay. I did a lot of tests before this post with my buddy and we narrowed it down to either the GPU because of this blank and grey screen I've gotten, or the motherboard because windows is trying to repair. Thanks in advance, this PC is giving me a lot of headaches right now.

if it a gpu issue try pulling the gpu see if windows works with onboard chipset. if you have a spare hard drive put a clean windows 10 image on see if the errors still there due to damage driver or files. use hardware info on clean windows image see if your power supply 12v rail is holding. bad power can look like a gpu failure.

I do not have integrates graphics unfortunately, and i t is for sure not my ssd becausei just replaced it. I have had a problem in the past where my power supply chord would be wonky. I forget exactly what would happen, but I wasn't able to do much with my computer until I unplugged the chord from the wall and back in again, then it would work fine. People said it was a weird issue with some power chords and that another one should be bought to replace it, but I haven't had this problem for over a year now.
