It is as basic as the title, it freezes on the screen it is. E.g it would be an almost screenshot like affect where the computer freezes at whatever the last frame it was at before it froze. No sound is heard even if there was music playing before, mouse cannot be moved and the only way to "fix" it is by hard restarting and then it will either happen on load up or while im using the computer soon after. There is no specific time or whatever but it just does. Windows 7 64bit, 8gb ram, nvidia GT430 graphics card, Intel Core i3 processor. If there is anymore information needed please ask, I will try my best. If someone could please help me that would be awesome.

Try these steps

1.Make sure you don't have any viruses, run a full virus scan in safe mode with networking. (I prefer using malwarebytes)
2.Run a program like ccleaner to fix registry errors and clean your temporary internet folder
3.Run a full disk defragmentation tool, like the one for Windows, I'd prefer using defraggler. (If you are using a SSD, don't defragment it)
4. Run msconfig, and go to the startup tab. Disable startup programs that you don't use.
5. Reboot

So I got home, turned on my computer and it froze, rebooted it and now it says "Checking file system on C: The type of the file system is NTFS. One of your disks needs to be checked for consistency. You may cancel the disk check, but it is strongly recommended that you continue" etc etc CHKDSK is verifying files and now it says its deleting corrupt attribute records. I'll do your steps once it finishes its (/3) stages.

Quick question, while trying to find out if I have an ssd or HDD i used two methods and both didn't show either of the two; they were the Disk Defragmenter (Doesn't show the 'Media Type' tab) and also run-msinfo32 components/storage/drives didn't show it either. Should I just open the computer up ?

From my limited understanding of CrystalDiskInfo, it doesn't look like there is any problems health status is good and its a 33 degrees Celsius temp.

Open a device manager and under the disk drives, expand it

That will show you the model number of your drive. Input it into Google once you've found it and it should list if its a hdd or ssd

Edit: Good sign your hard drive is ok

If it crashes so often its just normal that Windows wants to check the HDD after a few times that happened, since the computer just stopped at whatever it did, and that might mean it corrupted a writing process on your HDD.

I think that issue has another cause. But freezes like that are extremely hard to pinpoint. The thing you can do first is enable your onboard graphics (I think you should have one, since you have an i3), plug in the monitor cable at your mainboard, remove your graphics card and test if the freezes are gone. I think its enough to just remove the graphics card. Not need to change anything in the BIOS. If they are not gone, my next guess would be the mainboard, then the HDD and then RAM and PSU.
You can test the RAM by only using one bar at a time. But the rest needs to be changed to see if they are the cause.
