Hello everyone, I'm Daniele and this my first post on this community.

PC Specs
Cpu: Ryzen 5 5600X
Ram = 16GB(2x8) ddr4 3200mhz Kingston beast
Gpu: Asus nvidia rtx 3060ti 8gb
Mobo: Gigabyte b550 Gaming X V2
Psu: Sharkoon shp bronze 500W
Ssd: Samsung 980 m2 nvme 500gb
Hdd: seagate 1tb 7200rpm
Cooler: deepcool gammaxx l240 a-rgb
Case: itek vertibra x210

I hope I'm not forgetting anything.

The Story:
I have built this computer in november 2022 and since the second week(if I'm right) I started having freezes , these freezes happens when you are doing nothing, when you are playing or when you are just on the browser.

The strange fact is that you don't have a definitive freeze , you still can move the cursor , use alt+tab, ctrl+alt+canc, click anything but they just won't work anymore as expected, you can also click on the start menù "shutdown" or "restart" but it won't work and after some minutes it won't respond at all, the clock also will freeze too and won't update the time, the only thing that you can do is press the restart button on the case.

In the first months, so from November 2022 to March 2023 , the freezes would happen every 2 weeks, than started to happen more often like 1 time a week and so on May 2023 I decided to reinstall the OS , I was on Win10 , I installed Win11, after a week unfortunately it happens again but then.... everything went good for 1 year, no freezes, I was so happy finally I thought the problem went away but in August 2024 here we go again, the freezes came again 1 time every 2 weeks until November, then I had no freeze from November 2024 to February 2025 , in this month I had freeze again and this time 2 time in the same week.

I don't know how to do, in these years I read a lot of things trying to figure out the problem and how to solve but everything didn't worked and I'm here after more than 2 years with the same problem that is driving me completely crazy, making me think for the first time to buy a new computer hoping to be free from the freeze finally. I want to make clear I did what I could and the only thing I couldn't was change the components 'cause I don't have spare parts at Home and I can't buy random components hoping to solve the problem.

I hope to find a solution here, I hope someone could help me to understand where the problem is because is absurd that I can play for days without problems, even 1 year and then it happens again without reasons because the temps are fine , the usage is fine... I don't know if this can be used, but when i the freeze happens and i'm in game, the fans suddenly slow down like the computer is no more under "pressure" , so when i say that i can still navigate and clicking things on the desktop is like UI is disconnected from the rest of the OS and it does just what it's programmed in the UI(i don't know if it's clear)

Sorry for my english, i hope is understandable. I'll give you every information you need if you want to help me. I will place this on software section cause I don't have any evidence it's a hardware problem.
Edit: I updated the bios to the latest versione, the problem stills there. I just remembered that I've never updated the ssd drivers , so i did it yesterday , that's the last chance.

You've been with us since Jan 14 2023.

Psu: Sharkoon shp bronze 500W
Scroll down to Tier E - you have a horrible PSU for your build, which might be the likely culprit behind all your woes.

Gpu: Asus nvidia rtx 3060ti 8gb
Is this the GPU;
you own? You should be powering the entire build with a reliably built 650W~750W unit. I'd source(borrow, not buy) a reliably built unit from a friend or neighbor and see if the issue is alleviated.

because the temps are fine
What are your temps for both idle and when taxed? Use HWinfo to tell you said temps.

I updated the bios to the latest versione
For the sake of relevance, please mention the BIOS version for your motherboard.

Mobo: Gigabyte b550 Gaming X V2
Just to clarify, you checked your motherboard's PCB revision before sourcing and flashing the BIOS for your motherboard, right?

I just remembered that I've never updated the ssd drivers , so i did it yesterday , that's the last chance.
Please elaborate on how you updated said SSD drivers. I don't see any drivers for the Samsung 980 unless you're referring to the firmware.

Yes the GPU is that.

I use HwMonitor , that's the first program i lauch when i turn on the system. CPU in idle is around 35 °C , in gaming the peak is usually around 77-78 °C. Mobo temps during gaming are around 40°C(the same is for the ssd) , the gpu in idle is under 40°C and in gaming the peak is 62°C , really good temps management by this card.

Yes i checked the revision of my motherboard which is the rev 1.1 , I was on the version F14 and now I'm on F19d.

Yeah I was referring to the firmware. Sorry

P.S. My whole system in full load should be around 300W , I don't understand why 500W shouldn't be fine 😕
