Hello, I am posting this for a friend as his PC is not working right now.

He recently completed a new build 3 days ago. Yesterday a windows cumulative update came through a shutdown his PC. Instead of rebooting to finish the updating process, The computer stayed shut off for about 30~ minutes before powering back on. It would not allow him to use his power switch on the front panel of his case to power back on. After it powered on, the windows update said it failed and let him continue to his desktop. After about 2 minutes, The computer powered down again not allowing him to power it back on. It did this about 5-6 times before staying on and letting him use the computer. While it was on we checked the temperatures of the GPU and CPU, both of them were under 50C.

One thing that we noticed was his water pump colors would reset to the factory default settings when the computer boots if it was going to turn itself off randomly. Today it was working fine for about 4-5 hours and then powered itself off again. This time it would not turn itself on again and the power switch still does not do anything. He unplugged the 8-pin CPU power cable and left the main MB power cable plugged in and it allowed him to turn on the computer with the power switch on the front panel. Now comes the new problem, There is no display coming from the onboard graphics or GPU and there are no longer any lights on the motherboard, But when powered on all the fans spin up and the lights on the keyboard and mouse light up. We have been trying everything we can find / think of and any help would be greatly appreciated.
