Computer randomly restarts while i'm playing games! HELP ME!

Hello everyone,

I just bought my first gaming PC, it's a very fast PC.

I bought for playing games like, Skyrim, Far Cry 3, Just cause 2. i Bought the games to and they seem to run well with good FPS rates, until like 30 minutes, the PC restarts itself without giving me any error message, it's like you unplug the power cable and plug it in again. I really hate this so if any of you could help me with this, that would be great, here are my pc specs:
Processor: Intel Core i7 920 @ 2.67 GHz
GPU: Nvidia GT 330 2GB
RAM: 16.0 GB (original 6gb but there was 10 gb added.
PSU: FSP450-60EP, 450 watts max and 500 watts peak.
HDD: 1,5 TB
OS: Windows 8 pro 64-bit
Motherboard: Acer Aspire M7721 motherboard.

just a tip: This is not an overheatig problem.

so if you know the answer on this and know how i should do this, if this was not enough specs or you want to know more, feel free to ask me and i will tell you.

Do you think it can be a gpu problem? Maybe upgrading to a better gpu helps, because this card is obviously not meant to run skyrim, fc3 and just cause 2

even with only using a small amount of the maximum capacity the ram is not always used sequentially but randomly across all the sticks.

The ram test failed, pc restarted even faster now

remove the original 6GB sticks and test the other 10GB without the 6GB in the system, it could be one of the older sticks causing a problem.

i will try that, but again, could it be a GPU problem?

it could be gpu or it could even be the psu. lets just test the ram first.

It did not work, my pc wouldnt even start without the standard rams

ok try using only 1 stick of the original ram at a time and just try a not so demanding game and see if it crashes.

I tried with all the sticks but it failed again, its not a ram problem.
I did notice something else; when im recording with fraps my pc restarts way earlier then when im not recording.
Also less graphical games like mw2 work better, they are only getting the pc restarting like once in 3 hours.

ok run hwmonitor and post what temperatures your gt330 is getting to.

if you have another pc it might be a good test to try the psu from it with this pc just incase it is the psu.

If you haven't updated your chipset drivers yet, go here and use the Intel Utility to do it automatically:

Also, go into the BIOS and change the SDRAM frequency / bus speed from "auto" to one of the lower settings (not max).

I Think it is the PSU

Indeed, it sounds like it must be running stressed the entire time and then overdraws and cuts out.
