I have a new-ish PC (~ 4 months) that I built and just recently about 2 months ago it started restarting randomly. It doesn't matter what I am doing. Computer can be idle, or I can be playing a game when this happens. It just freezes for a second and then restarts. When it is occurring it happens about once every 1-2 hours.
I thought this was fixed when I re-seated my RAM a month ago. I was able to play games and do other high stress tasks without issues. But then a couple days ago it started doing it again and re-seating it again did not seem to help.
Also when it first started happening it seemed to occur around the time I had a power outage at my place (I do have a surge protector for what that's worth). But again after this happened I re-seated RAM and it was fine for a month.
I just want to see if these details are enough to provide a direction before I start testing every piece of hardware to make it easier.
