So, I have a custom built PC and it was built almost 4 years ago. Whenever I game on it, it shuts off unexpectedly. Upon reboot, no error message or beeping sounds happen. After it shuts off unexpectedly, if I turn it back on it'll shut off again after about 5 mins. I've had somebody tell me it could be the power supply but I want to make sure before buying a new one.
Thanks!

Solution
It could be a heat issue. Over time dust reduces the heat dissipation ability of the cooling systems so unless you have cleaned the CPU and graphics coolers off you probably have a heat issue at a minimum. The PSU can get full of dust and have heat issues as well but its less likely. Try blowing out the dust with some compressed air and see if that helps.

Hope that helps!
