=============
Specs:
GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 FTW
CPU: i7 6700k 4.6GHz
RAM: 2x8GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengance
PSU: 650W EVGA Supernova G2
MOBO: Asus Maximus Hero VIII
SSD: samsung 850 Evo 500GB
HDD: Seagate barracuda 7200RPM 2TB
====================

- Firstly, it isn't my PSU or my RAM, I recently got those replaced and the issue still occurs. The issue happens rarely; once every 4-6 days.

- My computer does it when gaming or idling and my temperatures are normal: 60 degrees max for my CPU and 70 degrees max for my GPU.

- My computer turns off incredibly quickly, like if you pulled out the plug. It then instantly reboots (I don't even have to press the power button) like there was no problem.

===============

I really don't know what the issue could be. I forked out another £180 to replace my PSU and one of my RAM modules became damaged somehow so I had to replace those too.

Any help would be appreciated, I just hope that no damage is being dealt to my system and knowing it isn't my PSU is a relief, however I don't like my PC just turning off like that it's scary

It sound like a power issue to me... You say you recently switched your PSU, check the cables, make sure everything is tightly connected. And new parts also fail... I recently had to return a new PSU that was causing me a problem very similar to yours (my reboots were more frequent though), if you don't have a spare PSU laying around you can always try to keep an eye on your voltages by using Hwinfo or any other similar program that can write a log so you can check if there was anything fishy going on at the time of the reboot.

It seems way to odd for it to be a hard ware issue. It happens so rarely and I don't even know what triggers it to happen which makes it almost impossible to find the solution because I can't monitor it.

I have tested it on 3 PSU's, all have the same result. Trust me, it isn't the power supply, if it were it would happen a lot more regularly and would cause damage to my components. How can I log or monitor something when I don't even know when it is going to happen? Most people with this issue have it regularly but mine is so rare and doesn't have any sought of trigger. Do you know of any software that could possibly monitor my voltages and make logs when my computer is about to reboot.

I also thought I might add that when I shut down my computer manually and don't turn of the power supply; the lights on my water cooler and mobo are still on and the computer turns itself back on if I don't manually turn the switch off on the psu. Is that normal? I personally think this is a issue with my MOBO.

Which PSUs did you try? make and model
Are all of them C-state/haswell ready? If not, disable C6/C7 Low-Power States in BIOS

Update BIOS in BIOS itself, not in windows!

reset BIOS / clrCMOS

boot memtest86+ installed on an USB flash drive

check smasung SSD with samsung magician, update firmware if available
check seagate HDD with seatools

run 3dmark timespy, click compare result online and post the link which comes up then

edit: 8Pin ATX12V power plug connected and not just 4Pins?

try BIOS version F20

My computer has just shut down instantly 3 times in the last 3 days which is more frequent than usual. When it turns back on automatically it goes to the American Megatrends screen (doesn't show any errors just says press F1 to start up) and then goes into Bios. I have no clue what is the issue with my computer.

I can't tell if my voltages are suitable.

If someone could list the correct voltages that I should have for each component that would help.

Ok update on the situation. Recently my computer has just been crashing into a black screen instead of instantly turning off, my computer remains on and I can hear window's 10 error message but I can't see anything so it's useless. When I go to turn my computer on it shows two horizontal white lines and blue dots after passing the POST and showing the RoG logo. It would not boot up after multiple tries but I could safely turn the computer off by tapping the power button on my case.

So I unplugged everything connected to my computer and replaced my DVI cable with a spare and also moved a SATA cable that looked like it was making contact with my video card.

When I booted up my computer it finally got to windows in which I went to event viewer, it displayed the same kernel message. I looked further down to see any errors that could have led up to the critical failure. I found out that windows 10 fast start up was causing errors very close to the time of the crash, so I did my research and apparently this problem isn't uncommon and apparently windows "fast start up" is very buggy and can cause kernel event 41's. So I disabled it. Looking through event viewer I found that this error always occurred before the kernel 63 (event id 41) crashes, sometimes even just 1 second before it.

On a side note, some of you have asked about my benchmark results to see if my performance was dropping over time with these shut downs and I can safely say my graphics card and my cpu's performance hasn't dropped a bit, oddly they increased after my recent crash.

On firestrike I got a score of 18100, after the crash I got 18400. I also ran a stress test and my computer passed with 99.0%. Hope it helps. I really hope this damn windows start up is the actual issue other wise I'm going to have to open my wallet.
