Yesterday I added 2x8gb G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3-2133 and at first I had both new sticks in with 1 of my old sticks which is a 4gb g.skill ripjaw 1600, the computer booted up saying there was a cpu or memory change which is true I went into the bios saw that the ram was being recognized by the mb and at the end of the day I shutdown my computer like normal and it magically rebooted with no errors after everything went down.

Iv done my research and removed the old ram even put the 2 new 8gb sticks in slot 2 and 4 it did it with that and then I reseated the ram after removing the mb battery and it still rebooted after shutdown.

My specs.
Windows 7
AMD FX-8350 4.30 (OC)
MSI 970a-g46
1TB Seagate Barracuda
OLD RAM: DDR3-1600 g.skill ripjaw
NEW RAM: DDR3-2133 g.skill ripjaw OC to 2300Mhz if it wasn't it would be sitting at 1866 because MB limit
nVidia GTX 770 2gb

If you are wondering I didn't OC till after I did most of the testing to see if that would change anything it didn't.

Also the computer ran better then ever with 20gb of ram its just the shutdown reboot issue that's there.
