Hi!
I bought a new video graphics card. Uninstalled old card (drivers) , and unmounted it.
Mounted the new card. Plugged in power and tried to start up.

Only a short (less than a second) whirr and then nothing. Ithe system didn't power up att all.

Tried to reset the system by taking out powercords, removing battery and cleared rtc ram with jumper. Did nothing. Same result when pressing the powe-button. A short surge and then nothing at all.

The NEW vid card is an Asus GeForce GTX 260 896MB "TOP" GDDR3 (engtx260 top)

The old system is:
PSU: Zalman ZM600-HP 600W
MB: Asus M2N-SLI DELUXE - PCI-E / SATA / DDR2
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+
Cooler: Zalman CNPS9500 Ultra Quiet
Old vid card : Asus GeForce 7950GT 512MB
HD: Samsung 200GB SATA
KB:Saitek Eclips USB
Mouse: RAzer Diamondback USB

I do believe that the power should be enough.... What can the problem be??

Regards

Assuming you have the video card hooked up to the PSU correctly, Im looking at a PSU issue. Try putting the old card back in and see if it goes. Also, test the 260 in a different PC and see if it will boot there. If it will not boot in another PC, RMA card. You could also try a different PSU and see if it boots.
