Computer Refuses to even go into sleep mode

when i tell it to sleep or hibernate it at 1st acts like it might turn of . the lights turn off but the computer its self never gos to sleep it just turns the light in the computer bk on and the screen, dont dont always happen. it just happens and when it starts i have no way around it.

i have tryed turning things off updating nothing seems to work. my malware clams it is clean same ot norton.. (its free threw comcast. antimalware is just free tool. not a paid vs..

Sounds like you either have hybrid sleep on or fast boot on.

Go to Control panel > Click on System and Security > Click on Power Options > Click on Change plan settings > Click on change advanced power settings > Click on change settings that are currently unavailable > Click on Sleep > Click on Allow Hybrid Sleep > Ensure it is off

Go to Control panel > Click on System and Security > Click on Power Options > Click on Choose what the power buttons do > Uncheck Fast boot
