Question Computer repeatedly turns itself off with new CPU

Bought a second-hand i5 7600k to replace i5 6400. I have a Lenovo Skybay H170 and according to Lenovo's website, they are compatible. When I put the new CPU in the computer tries to boot but turns off after 15 seconds, repeatedly. The computer works with the old CPU. A BIOS update for my PC says "The BIOS package supports two generation of CPU(Intel Skylake and Kabylake) with two kinds of BIOS." I assume this is the problem but I don't know how I will update the BIOS if the computer doesn't boot with the new CPU. Is it possible to update the BIOS for the Kabylake with the Skylake installed?
