Hello Everyone
I have a computer with 450 W Crosair Power Supply. 8 GB Ram 1600 Hz, I5 Processor and Asus Strix 960 GTX Graphics Card.
My Computer is shutting down abruptly during gaming like BattleField or NFS.
I am not able to figure out the problem, Please Help. Thanks in Advance.

Then something is overheating/going out and if there is no blue screen, I'm willing to bet it's the power supply. Truth be told, with that monster graphics card in there, I would have something in there easily over 600W. I would order another PSU unit off newegg.com or amazon.com and see what that does for you; thankfully they're cheap enough.

Is it a Corsair CX? It sounds like your power supply isn't strong enough to handle your system under full load.

A 960 is a pretty efficient GPU in terms of power requirements. A good 550-600W power supply should be plenty for your setup. Just don't buy a Corsair CX model when you replace it.

Sir,
I have Crosair VS 450 Power Supply

I was looking for solution to the problem.
I performed OCCT Test on my machine
CPU was tested for one hour it passed No Error was reported
GPU Test at 1920x1280 Failed immediately as soon as the test was started
GPU Test at 1280x1080 one hour it passed No Error was reported
Power Supply Test at 1920x1280 failed immediately as soon as the test was started
Power Supply Test at 1280x1080 failed immediately as soon as the test was started
During all the failure of the system was restarted so there is no error log by the OCCT test application
I have disabled my sound cards only the Realtek sound Card is active
I am using spike strip to power my system.
I am not able to debug the problem.

I have never run this type of test but I would think that if your power supply test is failing immediately it would further back up what we are saying about your power supply being the problem. There is a good chance that if you replace it with a higher quality unit your problem will go away.

I would get a unit with 500W or more from Tier 1 or Tier 2 on this power supply quality tier list.

Edit: Your current power supply is tier 4. This means it is not a high quality unit.

Sir,
I am from India and I have been through the list of Tier 1 and Tier 2 PSU
Seasonic S12II Series 520-Watt Power Supply
This is the model of PSU available in my country, is this good PSU.
Higher wattage of this Seasonic Model are available
Is there any other model that you can recommend. for my system

520 watt sounds fine for the most part, but I'm concerned your graphics card may not get enough power. In this case, I would recommend a minimum of 600 watts. Thermaltake has good PSU models if you have those available over 600 watts.

Sir.
I am really sorry but Thermaltake PSU are not available in my country.
Will this PSU suffice
SEASONIC S12II SERIES 620W POWER SUPPLY W/80+ BRONZE CERTIFICATION

Dear All,
Thank you for all the support. The PSU with 450 W was the problem. It simply did not have enough juice, to power the Nvidia 960 GTX. I got my hands on a Crosair RM 650 W Gold Edition. Now my system is working fine.
