Computer restart when CPU not doing stress things.

This is my first post here, but I have read many topic and now I can't find anyone have encounter the same problem like me so I have to post a topic for my self. I'll go straight to the point.

My computer is sometimes suddenly restart (don't even have a dumb screen).

This situation came from 1 time I reinstall my window with my usb drive (Both of the .iso file and the usb used to work very well on 3 different computer including mine).

I thought it was because of virus or malware or something like that and I have already scan my computer by Kaspersky Internet Security and nothing changed.

The most trickiest thing is, when I'm playing "big" games like borderlands 2, diablo 3, dota 2 or doing things that put my CPU on stress like memtest or stress test my CPU, my computer never restart. But when I play "small" games like minecraft or surfing the web, using visual studio or SQL server (I'm just doing some homework), my computer is sometimes restart as I said.

I really don't know what is going on with my computer. First thing is I want to know some possibility that cause problem like this (because of software or hardware) and after that maybe I can find a way to fix this. And I have done some search thought out the net but still can't find anything.

it can be any number of things, literally... try checking the Event Viewer for details of events that happen right before you lose the computer

if u can recreate the issue then it would really help to diagnose the culprit

Thanks a lot dingo07. I never use the Event Viewer before. I'll google how to use it and told you the result 😀
