computer restarted unexpectedly after inserting more ram

I inserted recently 2 gb of extra ram in my pc and did a full reinstall of windows 7 and linux mint.

in both the computer randomly falls out and restarts the pc. Any idea what the problem could be?

Try reseating the ram sticks
If it still persists run memtest86+

In Windows what does event viewer say was the reason for the reboot?
