Hey guys/girls

So I just recently purchased and installed a new evga gtx 1070 few.
When I installed the graphics card I made sure to use DDU to have a clean install. I upgraded from a gtx evga 760 4gb.
Ever since my new graphics card my pc restarts by itself often. It mainly happens when I pause my game for 5 mins or more. If anyone has any ideas to fix this problem I would love to see them. Thanks.
My pc specs are
Haf 922
i5-3570k 3.40GHz OC to 4.4GHz
H80i CPU cooler
AsRock Z77 Extreme 4
Corsair Vergeance 8gbx2
Evga SuperNova 850watt gold
Windows 10 64bit

There were no prior problems before the new graphics card install.I had no problems with the psu before the new graphics card and it is only about 4 months old anyway.
My Temps are always pretty low. My mobo stays around 93°f. Processor says around 115°f and graphics card stays around 80°f. All Temps are during gaming not during 100% load. I keep very good air flow. All cables are plugged in properly seated.

Solution

Likely just a corrupted driver. Next time it happens download the newest driver (even if yours is the newest) and clean install the driver. That usually fixes it

G2 should handle the 1070/1080 just fine if it's working correctly. Try updating your motherboard firmware and then test on multiple games to see how long different games take.

After testing on a few games I couldn't get the PC to restart during controlled times. I tried it with War Thunder, Witcher 3, Hawken, GTA 5. I did replug everything in again and reseat graphics card again just to be on the safe side. Along with clean everything out with can air. I also disabled the Nvidia Only settings for Witcher 3 incase that many have been causing a bug in software. I'll make a new thread if the problem persists.
