It's not specific domains or links that makes my computer restart, it just happens randomly. Sometimes it restarts after I've typed a url, and sometimes it restarts when I click a link from a friend. The problem isn't consistent; it happens like once or twice in a 15 hour period.

My computer doesn't bluescreen or give any type of error in Event Viewer so I don't know what the source of the problem is. I tried researching my exact problem on Google but the only relevant threads that have ever popped up are from 2004 and the victims are on Windows XP or something old and outdated. Either it has to be a memory problem or a problem with a driver on Windows 10. Do note I am on wireless internet.

My pc build is here if anyone needs it. I don't know if this is the right forum to post this since I literally do not know the source of my problem.

Hi,

Here are some troubleshooting steps that may help in solving the issue.
- Start by doing a complete virus/malware scan. Please use the link below for the complete guide and tools.
- If it does still shut down do reseat the RAM's, remove them all of couple of seconds then put them back in making sure everything is seated properly.
- If the same problem will persist I would suggest doing a clean install of Windows 10.
- If after reinstalling Windows 10 and the same problem will persist that means it's a hardware problem.

Hello vehtran

Can you please confirm if this happens only when you try to do something related to the Internet such as opening a URL, or visiting links, or the computer shuts down even if you are doing something else like working on MS Word, etc.?

In case the Internet activities are causing the issue, the steps given here to configure the Power Management of the NIC can be of some help.

Feel free to report back if the above solution doesn't resolve the issue and you need further assistance.

Cheers!! :)

It happens when I'm usually playing a game. I'm starting to think its a memory problem - maybe my RAM. This is the error in Event Viewer but it doesn't tell me what the source of the problem is. I might just reseat my RAM as stated by Laptop_Nerd.

Computer is still restarting randomly after opening links (especially while playing games at the same time) after I have already reseated my RAM. I have no malware or viruses on my computer. You mentioned a clean install of Windows 10, but my Windows 10 is fairly new (and up-to-date). Could anything else be causing this to happen?

Did a FRESH install of Windows 10; still having problems. Ran MemTest86 for 10 hours; no RAM errors. My PSU is perfectly fine. I've delve deeper in research and disabled "Automatically restart" (http://i.imgur.com/e8o5Yk2.png) after system failure under System Properties, but now instead of instantly restarting, my computer freezes. I don't know what to do. All my hardware is in mint condition - no errors - and I have nothing installed on my freshly installed Windows 10 but Google and Steam - all drivers are up-to-date and so is Windows. This never happened to me until I switched over to Windows 10.
