Hello, I'm new here and would like to express my problem.
So I went to shut down my computer and there were two apps that Windows needed to shut down before it went through the shut down process. I was stupid enough to click cancel and the system didn't shut down; so I was even more stupid enough to force shut down. Now when I use my computer, it randomly restarts by itself; it just blacks out and restarts without going through the restart/shutdown process. I've looked at the event viewer as I've read in some threads in this forum, but I'm not sure what to do with the information and how to fix the problem itself.
If it helps, these are the event IDs I'm getting in the Event Viewer (Windows Log > System):
- 41 (Kernel-Power): Ciritical
- 5 (Kernel-Power): Error
- 1001 (Kernel-Power): Error
These are just a few I thought that would be the main concerns. Is it best I contact HP (the PC I won is an HP Envy Phoenix 810 PC Series). Or contact a local PC store to see if they can check if it's a hardware or software problem?
