[SOLVED] Computer Restarts When GPU Engages

Hey all,

I'm having a weird problem and I can't nail down the cause. My computer will restart whenever the GPU is used. It happens with games and with any sort of benchmarking software. The weird part is that it's not throwing off the usual signs of being faulty, so I'm sure what the story is.

So far I've updated my bios, updated and then rolled back my drivers, and cleaned off all connectors and reseated the card. Nothing seems to be working and I'm at my wit's end. Any help is appreciated!

Intel I7-3770 OCed to 4.2
PSU is a Thermaltake TR2 600W ATX 12 V2.3 model TR-600CUS
2 Western Digital WD10EZEX-08M2NA0 7200RPM hard drives

I would suspect once your gpu loads the psu, your system fails.

I suspect your low end thermaltake tr2 is the culprit.

Why would this be happening now? It was working just fine a week ago and I haven't noticed any of the usual warning signs. What's a good PSU that isn't too pricey?

What are cpu and gpu temps?

Sometimes psus do fail out of the blue. This one hasnt. These unexpected shutdowns can be the warning sign

CPU hovers around 40 without load and can go to 74 under full load. GPU sits at 50 and goes to about 80 under a full load.
