I've been trying to do research and i'm sorry in advance if this has already been solved but i am at a loss here and cant find solid answers.
every time i play video games or even play games while streaming my computer reboots itself and i'm trying to figure out why. i checked my cpu and gpu while gaming and they are always around 20-70 degrees and then my computer restarts. so i'm pretty sure it cant be my cpu or gpu that's the problem. i'm guessing it's the PSU but then again i question this myself because my PSU is 850w. I've had this computer since 2012 (so basically 3 years ago) and this started happening about a month ago. A couple of days ago i cleaned my PC with an air compressor can and so far still no budge to it and my computer still restarts by itself. everything is updated (my cpu, gpu, windows, motherboard, etc.) and i still get the restarts when playing games or streaming games as well. so my question is, what could be the issue? 75% tells me it must be the psu and i'm assuming the psu is dying down on me but i'm afraid to purchase another psu because what if that wasn't the issue? so before i go to a store or go online i'd like to hear others who had this experienced and fix the solution. also, the games i've played that made my computer restart were Dying Light, H1Z1, Guild Wars 2, and other high quality steam games.
my specs:
mobo: gigabyte z77x-ud5h (f14 version)
Os: windows 7
Cpu: i5 3570k ivy bridge 4.2 ghz
Cpu fan: cooler master hyper 212
Psu: CORSAIR HX850 850W
Monitor 1: BenQ Gaming Monitor RL2455HM
Monitor 2: some random 19' office dell monitor (dont know the model name)
Ram: corsair vengeance 16gb ddr3 1600mhz
Case: cooler master haf 932
Gpu: 1x Evga gtx 680 sli
if it is the PSU thats the issue, i'd like to know what kind of PSU would be good for my rig? i know the gtx 680 takes 745w which is why i purchased the hx850
