So whenever I game my computer restarts itself while I'm gaming. My first thought was overheating but I've monitored my temps at it still restarts at low temps around 40C for both my gpu and cpu. So I checked the inside while it was running and saw that my second GPU fan had stopped moving. I played around with the fan settings in Sapphire Trixx and discovered the second fan will spin by itself at 80%+. Even with it set to custom with 80% at 40C and it will still restart. During this time I checked my bios and saw that AI tweaker was on manual so i changed it to D.O.C.P and it still restarts.
The gaming session is usually 30 mins to maybe a couple of hours until it restarts it's kinda random but when it does restart when I load the same game I was playing, or even another, as soon as it pops up it restarts the only game I haven't seen restart is League of Legends. The desktop will not restart while I am browsing and the AI suite sensor doesn't display/or record the voltage drops around the time of the restart.
It even gave me some random volt droppings recently while it was idle:
+VDDA 1.656 Abnormal
+VDDA 2.508 Normal
+5V 0.000 Abnormal
+5V 5.035 Normal
+3.3V 5.616 Abnormal
+3.3V 3.288 Normal
But my desktop did not restart. It's also the first time I've seen these warnings, they rarely appear.
Specs:
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64
CPU: AMD FX-8350
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) F3-12800CL9D-4GBXL
Motherboard: M5A99FX PRO R2.0 (Socket 942)
GPU: SAPPHIRE 100363VXSR Radeon R9 280X 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16
Graphics Driver Ver: Catalyst Version: 14.12 AMD Catalyst Omega Software
PSU: Corsair HX 850
*The RAM and CPU are not overclocked. GPU is overclocked but at factory OC settings. Also when I first made the desktop I kept fan % on automatic and both fans would spin <80% when the second fan stopped spinning I don't know I discovered it when my desktop started to restart in the middle of a gaming session.
