It all started last year when my AV Security subscription ran out and ever since then it's been downhill. I have a DIY build pc where I've taken a very old Dell 0HY9JP A00 motherboard with the i5 2400 3.1 Ghz Intel CPU still attached and added a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 GPU. Running the latest version of Windows 10 Pro 64bit.
Anyways literally the day my sub ran out I was having all sorts of problems problems with Google Chrome being hijacked, severe resource straining, disable Windows Firewall & WF would do insane things like keep me from turning on Microsoft Security Essentials, Blacklist programs, and would repeatedly loop the settings of Windows Firewall every time I tried to turn on WF or unblock/unblacklist programs and software and settings.
I'm somewhat computer savvy, I've dealt with infections before but this was on another level. I managed to read up on some of the problems I was having and evently I was able to stabilize my PC and reinstall a AVS.
My worries I'm trying to convey to you are that I use this PC for everything from gaming to work/banking/shopping. I have of course run intense scans with Kaspersky Internet Security and Malwarebytes 3 in Safe Mode, as well as deleted anything I found remotely suspicious.Still.I have not run advanced diagnostic programs to then be checked by a professional such as HijackThis, RKill, ect .As I said before my PC is "stable" but I'm fairly positive there are nefarious code lurking deep in the depths of this thing. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you, Dan.
