A buddy of mine wants to get into pc gaming. I build him parts I have lying around.
I5 7500
MSI B250m Gaming Pro
NZXT Kraken M22 120mm AIO cooler
GTX 1060 6GB Amp edition
Corsair vengeance 16gb ddr4 2400mhz ram
Samsung 860 pro 250gb m.2 ssd
Seagate 2TB 7.2k had
A TP link dual wifi card
Evga 550w bronze psu
All in a tiny Masterbox 3.1 TG

(I should say I found the cpu under a dresser on carpet)
The motherboard had some bent pins so I watched the linustechtips of him attempting to rebound bent pins I gave that a go. My pins were as good as it was gonna get. I built everything, fans spun, cpu cooler lit up, but.... no display. I look into the case and see the cpu error light on. I start to panic, "What could it be?" I double check the wattage required and a 650w psu is recommended Do you guys think thats what's wrong? Not enough power or component failure?

Solution
If you had bent pins in the CPU socket that could be the issue.
It is close to impossible to align those pins after they are bent.
Even after they appear to be aligned the motherboard might not even work.
