Sorry if this is in wrong fourm didnt know what to put it under.

So recently (last few days my hard drive has been at 100% usage all the time and its causing my pc to laggy and crash and i have no clue wat is causing it. Nothing in process or anything. Someone pls help

Hi there Monro,

If the issue persists after defragmenting the drive, you may want to run a brand specific testing tool on the drive. The results will show you whether there is something wrong with it.
In case you use Windows 8, you can disable some services that could lead to a 100% disk usage(superfetch, Windows Search, etc.) Check this thread out: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-2045646/windows-100-disk-usage.html
Also, it may be a good idea to back up the most important data until you resolve the issue.
