Computer running slow, cpu hot

Hello, So i came upon a problem, i like a month ago bought a 500w psu because i'm upgrading my system, and when i installed it, the first day i started feeling that the computer is slower than it was, also the cpu idle temp is about 40-45C. When listening to music, using like 4 tabs on google chrome cpu is on 90-100%. I'm on a system with 2gb of ddr2 ram, should it be the thermal paste? i haven't changed that in like 6 years, but i'm about to build my new pc so i don't want to change the thermal paste on this system

Best guess is you computer is just old. If you're only running 2 gigs of ddr2 it is very old most likely. Xp support is dead so its possible you have gotten a virus or something, it doesn't take much background work to big down your current rig. You could go through your programs/task manager and kill anything in needed and see if that helps

Actually im running win 7 32bit system. I started feeling slowdowns only after i installed my new psu. So i thought if its the psu or cpu
