Computer runs, fans work, no video, no beeps

Hey guys, I recently upgraded my computer yesterday and now I'm having problems with it.

the issue is that when I put it together it booted and everything then I went to use the restroom. After that.. it booted with no video and no beeps. After taking it down to the just the mobo, psu, cpu, and ram. Still no video, no beeps! (btw i have an onboard video) So, on a different motherboard, but with the same monitor, I got video from my video card, psu powered everything no problem.

Then on the new MoBo, I removed the RAM and got the correct beeping noises. Here's the kicker, I lost the BIOS Jumper part thingy, but I dont think it would cause nothing to boot up though...

My specs are:

motherboard: Intel DZ68DB
Processor: Intel core i7 3.4 ghz processor.
PSU: 650W BSU
Video card: HD Radeon 5800
RAM: 4g pny stick (x2)

The computer should be able to operate without a BIOS configuration file. If it doesn't have one, it should be able to re-create one on the fly every time you start the computer.

This would make it take a whole lot longer to boot up every time, but it should still be able to work.

Not that I condone operating without a BIOS jumper when there is supposed to be one, having extra parts after building something is never a good thing, but it should still at least function.

That I cannot guarantee, though. You should definitely replace that thing you lost as quickly as possible, in case the problem really is related to that.

You can figure out if this is the problem right away if you want, though. To do this, you will need a screw driver or something remotely similar and you will need to have it touching both of the two jumper pins when you turn the computer on.

If you do that and it does work, then the fix will be as simple as buying a new one.

However, I will assume for this moment that the problem isn't related to this part.

It would be helpful if you could be more complete about all the parts in both of the computers you are mentioning here. Preferably the maker/model of each part in the core of both computers.

Power Supply
Video Card

I am going to assume the 3.4 Ghz I7 is a 2600 or 2600k at this moment. The PSU maker/model I still need, which exact video card maker/model, more info about the RAM would be great (speed especially, 800, 1066, 1333, 1600, 1866, any of those numbers on the package?)

Also everything in the whole second computer.

The more complete you are with this, the better I can assist.

Also, try taking out the video card and putting the video cable into the motherboard port and tell me what happens when you try to turn it on.

Hopefully I can jump in since I have a very similar problem. I didn't loose the BIOS jumper, but other than that my issue is as described just by this other user. The setup is also pretty similar:

Intel DZ68DB
Intel Core i7-2600K
Corsair Vengeance 4GB DDR3 (x2)4
NVIDIA GeForce GT 640
Topower 650W

I actually went to the PC shop and got the GeForce GT 640 to replace a GeForce GT 220 whose fan was working intermittently so I assumed it was the video that got broken; but I placed the new card and again -- no video, no beep, and unable to send any keyboard input.

I tried removing the video and putting the video cable into the motherboard port as you suggested, to no avail. Tried removing the RAM modules, and then I do get those three long beeps as documented on the DZ68DB manual.

I'm clueless... might it be the Topower PSU?
