Hi!

Sorry if this is not the right section to post this problem in , but I'm not even sure about what's the problem..

Basically this started a few days ago, happened 3 times so far.
Everything is working fine , I haven't experienced any fps drops or anything like that.
I was playing CS:GO and HoN (Heroes of Newerth) , I tabbed out to desktop and when I tabbed back I could see the game but it suddenly froze and no matter what key combinations I used
nothing happened at all, had to reboot, then everything went back to normal.
The second time, I started HoN and it stuck on the loading screen and froze there, let it stay like that for minutes and nothing happened.

What could be causing this? I haven't experienced anything like this before. My HDD is pretty old compared to the rest of my components about 5-6 years old, could this be HDD failure? Thanks in advance.

My computer specs:

CPU: Amd Phenom X4 955 3.2 Ghz
PSU: Corsair CX 500 v2
Ram: DDR3 8GB 1333 Mhz
GPU: AMD Sapphire 6870 1 GB
Motherboard: Asus M5A87

Actually for the first time it shut down itself without any warning.. Is this PSU related then? What should I do?
