Computer shutdown and start again

I am facing a problem from few days back my computer runs normally when i play game or some thing it after some time (not fixed) computer goes shutdown directly like some one has switched off the computer then start it self after 2 second what can be the problem ?

I had the same problem but my motherboard told me that my power supply had spiked so it shut down as a precaution. May be your problem or not. I put in a new power supply and problem went away.

Look at your system event viewer right after it happens. It will likely have an error code that you can look up and figure out the problem.

As stated before, check your Event Viewer for errors that coincide with the shutdown. Also, could you please tell us what your temperatures are like, and what hardware you are using? Depending on the hardware, you may not be receiving adequate cooling. This can cause shutdowns also.

i am using corsair vs650 650 watt psu for core i5 2500k with gtx 660 2gb gigabyte
i will have to check the temps and error logs for it then i can tell more about this thanks anyway

this is log which i get every time my system restart in critical section of logs

The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

Firstly, Try checking up PSU for shutting down issues.

Secondly, Have you tried checking out your CPU Fan ? It can create problem if not taken seriously.

i just check my psu and other things the restarting problem was not a psu problem but my cpu was hitting a threshold temperature of 90 degree Celsius i just checked the fan its intel stock cooler and take it out and put a thermal paste on it temps are normal if i am not playing any game but in games it is again hitting max temps i am using intel stock cooler for like 2 year but there was no problem like this before please tell me a cpu cooler from this site low budge will be good
