Computer shuts down when playing Mass Effect: Andromeda

My best guess is my 2 year old 850W PSU. I've run stress tests on separate components(Prime95 and Furmark), and no crashes. I cannot figure out why this game is shutting my computer down.

Any advice is vastly appreciated. My next step is borrowing components and continuing testing.

If only one game causes that, it's more likely problem with game rather then your hardware. ME:A is quite fresh game so problems like this can happen under certain setups.

That's a very low quality PSU. Prime only stresses the CPU and Furmark either gpu or CPU. I expect Mass Effect is stressing both the CPU and the GPU (max wattage scenario) and the PSU can't handle it. You have a very nice system, I wouldn't risk it on such a low quality PSU.

I'll try to reinstall, the game.

As for the PSU being poor quality, I guess I had no idea. The reviews didn't say "this PSU is terrible."

Zebronics or Diablotek are examples of 'terrible'; yours is 'just' poor quality.

I do not see anything wrong with your hardware. The game is a BUG LAND at the moment. if possible try to record the CPU and power usage when running the game, u can use MSI after burner for it. Worst I can see, this game is drawing more power than your PSU can give, but that is little unlikely as 800 W is more than enough.

Dont just read reviews use the tomshardare PSU tier list or go over to JohnnyGuru's site and read up on what should be a gamer's PSU.

omg so i was having this issue with my 1080 sli setup. problem for me was both cards were powered using 1 pcie 6+2 with 2 heads. put both cards on there own power cable and problem solved. i was reading that the game draws a rediculous amount of power and some people had to underclock there cards to run it. I dont know if this helps but i wanted to get this solution out there for more people.
