So i had this pc for a while now built it myself it has a 8350 asus formula v mobo a gtx 780 and my problem is that in some games my pc will just shut down. I know that there is a million threads on this but all are about over heating and i monitor it all and my temp stay in the normal levels. i thought that i might have downloaded something and it messed it up so i upgraded to win10 and got a fresh computer. but i started up h1z1 and it did it again. so now i am stuck i looked at the bios and my speeds on my ram were wonky so i fixed that now they are in the right time. i started up my pc hoppin git would fix it and startd up h1z1 and boom right as i joined a game it crashed. In the past it was csgo and it would be so random when it did it and so far it has not crashed in cs but i still want to fix my problem. oh and my psu is a 1000 watt ocz psu i have read that they can die but i want to make sure thats the problem before i buy another psu

Shut Down = windows initiating the shut down sequence, closing applications, saving windows files and then turning off PC

Shutting Off = PC immediately turns itself off.

Crash = Showing a Blue Screen of Death/error message and/or immediately restarting.

So when you say "shut down" which one of these do you mean because these are very different circumstances.

Windows Shutting the system down is almost always software related, could be you are hacked by the game server and they are sending shutdown command to your PC

Shut Off would make me think PSU or temp, and you said temp is ok

Crash would be bad hardware (which includes bad power supply) or driver

It would be a shut off the screen goes black and automaticly turns back on

That is a crash, shut off means it turns off and stays off.

So you have a crash:
Could be a bad PSU, bad RAM, bad GPU, bad motherboard, or bad software driver.

If it only happens in more GPU intensive games then I would suspect PSU.
If it happens when putting a load on memory then it is memory.
Would certainly go ahead and make sure all drivers are up to date.

yes its a crash but no error and im running prime 95 an dcpu is maxed and everything is fine so far and im about to boot into memtest to test memory
