Computer Shuts off when doing anything intense.

Recently i have been experiencing a problem where whenever im doing something intensive (Rendering, Farcry 3 ultra, etc.) my computer shuts off! i've even tried wayyy underclocking the 290 and nothing so far.

Stock CPU cooler?

run cpu and gpu z. Monitor the temps to see if you are over heating. I would suspect that the problem is from heat or the power supply failing under load, especially if you are not getting a BSOD before it happens.
