Hello everyone, I started having this problem a year ago which I temporarily fixed by uninstalling the Radeon Software.
Yesterday while playing Monster Hunter World the problem has recurred. I noticed that the Radeon Software was installed and I uninstalled it again but it didn't fix the problem.
The strange thing is that I played other games and the same game a month ago and there were no problems.
The max temperature while playing is 60° celsius.

My specs are:
Power: 650W Antec EGD650 Edge 80+ Gold [0-761345-05065-4]
CPU: Intel Core i7 4790K PC1150 8MB Cache 4GHz retail [BX80646I74790K]
Ram: DIMM DDR3 G.Skill 8GB PC 1600 CL9 (2x4GB) 8GAB ARES (Low [F3-1600C9D-8GAB]
Motherboard: Asrock z97 Extreme 4
GPU: Amd Sapphire R9 290X Tri-X

I uploaded a video of the problem (2 minutes stress test with "FurMark" ):
View: https://youtu.be/6W5q8Mf4meY

The pc shut down when i click the google chrome icon (max temp 70 celsius)

Oh my god I reduced it by a 100 and it worked, it fixed the problem. May I ask you why that happened? What are the consequences for the performance now that I reduced it? Thank you so much

Basically, the card is no longer stable at stock clocks. Can be down to degredation of the components on the card, or just it getting hotter than it used to (new thermal paste needed? Dust cleaned out of the heatsink and fans?).

Youll get a bit less performance, but it should still work for a while.

Sometimes if you give it a little more voltage you can maintain stock clock speed.
