So about a month ago my PC was shutting off randomly, eventually we determined something overheating, and lo and behold a technician found that the Fans in the GPU had died. So with no other options and the warranty lost to time, I've had a fan hooked up to the open case since then. Fast forward to last week, and it started crashing again. We suspect the power supply, however the motherboard doesn't monitor regular statistics, and we've gotten some advice that it's not the power supply,
But its still crashing?
Are there any other parts to check in a situation like this?
GPU : NVIDIA GTX 970
PSU : Generic 600w
Processor : Intel i5 3470 3.20 ghz
Motherboard : kind of non descript
Wondering if I should try and replace the power supply anyways, or if I should just build something new.
Any help would be appreciated
Thank you!
